LAGRANGE, Ga.  - The Piedmont College baseball team dropped a pair of games against LaGrange College Saturday losing 12-7 and 12-2. The Panthers out-hit Piedmont in game two but the Lions had over 10 hits in both contests.

Game one saw the Piedmont offense get in gear early taking a 2-0 lead in the first, but the Panthers put up four to lead 4-2 after the first. Piedmont tied it in the third inning and took the lead in the fourth on a pair of BRADY BALLSTADT hits including a home run.

Leading 6-5 after the fourth, WES SNYDER grounded out to send JONATHEN BURKETT around to score making it 7-5. The lead would be short lived through as the Panthers would take the lead in the bottom of the fifth and tack on four more in the seventh for the 12-7 win.

Game two was all Panthers as LaGrange led 7-0 before Piedmont was able to get on the board. Piedmont had 11 hits in game two and left 14 on base in the 12-2 loss.

Both starters took the loss on the mound as it was DAVID CRAFT and RYAN STEWART who took the decision.

Turning Point
--A four-run bottom of the seventh in game one sealed the win for the Panthers while game two was all LaGrange.

Standout Performances
--BRADY BALLSTADT and JONATHEN BURKETT were 3-for-5 in game one with a combined six RBI.

Inside the Box Score
--LaGrange managed 12 runs in both contests marking the most runs Piedmont has given up in back-to-back games all season.
