RALEIGH, N.C. – The Piedmont women's lacrosse team dropped its first USA South Athletic Conference game of the season on Saturday, losing 22-3 to four-time defending USA South Champion Meredith College.
The Avenging Angels jumped out to an 8-0 lead before
CASSIDY HEFLIN found
ROWAN BUMPASS for the Lady Lions' first goal.
After a four-goal run by Meredith,
EMMA FRANSEN and
CAITLIN O'BRIEN scored off a pair of free position shots to cut the lead 12-3.
Meredith closed the game with a 10-0 run. The Avenging Angels had a pair of players recorded six points.
