NOAH HEATHERLY provided the game-winner with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th to lead the Piedmont College baseball team to a 3-2 win over Huntingdon. The game took 12 innings to decide and just over 3:30 from first pitch, but the Lions outlasted the Hawks for the victory.
Huntingdon took the lead early with a run in the top of the first off
SAM CARPENTER and would add another in the sixth inning to lead 2-0. Carpenter pitched eight innings giving up two runs on four hits as he was off the hook for the decision as Piedmont tied the game in the bottom of the sixth.
The Lions scored their first run on an RBI single by Heatherly that scored
BRADY BALLSTADT then
EVAN MEADE fought for a walk to drive in the tying run.
It was scoreless for the next five innings as it took until the 12th for Piedmont to drive in the game-winning run with Heatherly delivering the final blow.

NOAH HEATHERLY recorded his second walk-off hit at Loudermilk Field with an RBI single through the gap into left field to drive in
BRADY BALLSTADT for the game-winning run in the 12th inning.
Standout Performances
--Heatherly had two RBI singles that drove in Ballstadt in the game as he drove in the first run of the game for the Lions in the sixth inning.
Inside the Box Score
--Carden Mellown had 12 strikeouts for the Hawks through his seven innings pitched.
News & Notes
--Piedmont has just one loss in conference play posting a 9-1 record in the league this season.
