DEMOREST, Ga. –  The Piedmont women's lacrosse team lost 17-3 to the University of Scranton on a cold Wednesday evening.
 
Scranton jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first 49 seconds of the first half and led 13-0 at halftime.
 
The Royals extended their lead with two early goals in the second half before ROWAN BUMPASS scored Piedmont's first goal.
 
After a pair of Scranton goals, CAITLIN O'BRIEN and MACEY HIGGINS found the back of the net to close out the game.

-- This was the first meeting between the two schools.

-- CASSIDY HEFLIN and ERIN AYLWARD had assists on the final two goals, respectively.
