BREVARD, N.C. – The Piedmont men's lacrosse team lost 8-5 to future USA South Athletic Conference school Brevard College on Tuesday night.
JOSH COBBINA scored the game's first goal to give Piedmont an early 1-0 lead before Brevard tied it less than three minutes later.
After a Brevard slashing penalty,
CHASE GOFF found
SEAN KENNELL for the man-up goal to give Piedmont its last lead of the game.
Brevard would score four straight to take a 5-2 lead before Cobbina notched his second goal of the game to cut the lead to two, with 3:05 left in the third quarter.
After a Brevard goal to start the fourth quarter, Goff would score to cut the lead back to two, but Brevard closed the game with a 2-1 run.
JEREMY KOHN scored with 6:38 but time ran out on the Lions.
ZACH CZULADA had 14 saves in the loss.
LAMONT NESBITT won seven faceoffs and had four ground balls while
JAKE HANAK had three ground balls.
