MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Piedmont College men's basketball team picked up a 99-81 victory over Pfeiffer University on Sunday on a career-day for 
JUSTIN VALLEJO who tallied 33 points. Vallejo accounted for a third of Piedmont's points as the Lions scored their highest total of the season. 
The Lions controlled the contest throughout as they built a 14-point lead just six minutes into the contest. The Falcons got as close as seven 35-28 with 8:30 till halftime, but Piedmont would take a 51-40 advantage into the locker room. 
It was once again a 7-point game with just under 16:00 to play, but Piedmont would use back-to-back 3-pointers and build back an 18-point lead and hold on through the final 10:00 of play. 
Four players scored in double figures for the Lions led by Vallejo with 
ELIJAH ALSTON, 
MARQUISE LANIER, and 
TAYLOR MILLS also putting up 10 or more. 
Turning Point
--A 15-4 run midway through the second half put the Lions ahead by 18 and it was never closer than 10 from that stretch on. 
Standout Performances

JUSTIN VALLEJO had a career-high 33 points in the contest as he notched a double-double with 10 rebounds as well.

ELIJAH ALSTON made five 3-pointers in the contest marking the second straight game Piedmont has had a player with five 3-pointers.

--This is Piedmont's highest scoring game in the 2017-18 season.
