ATLANTA – The Piedmont women's lacrosse team had four players score three goals as the Lady Lions improved to 2-0 on the season with a 14-9 win over Oglethorpe University on Tuesday night.

ROWAN BUMPASS,
CASSIDY HEFLIN and
DOMONIQUE STEELE and freshman
EMMA FRANSEN each scored three goals in the win. Senior
CAITLIN O'BRIEN added four points (1g, 3a).

Piedmont opened the game with two goals in the first 7:22 of play and pushed its lead to 4-0 at the 11:42 mark. After a pair of goals by both teams, the Lady Lions closed the half with a goal in the final four minutes to lead 7-2 at half.

Piedmont continued its scoring in the second half with three straights goals before Oglethorpe cut the lead 10-3. The Lady Lions would score its final goal with over 16 minutes left to pull ahead 14-5, but Oglethorpe would score the game's final four goals before time ran out.
