DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont women's lacrosse team opened its season with a 16-10 USA South win over conference foe
Ferrum College at the Walker Athletic Complex.

CASSIDY HEFLIN before scoring six goals in an eight and a half minute span to lead 8-0.
The Panthers scored at the 9:08 mark to cut the lead 8-1, but a three-goal run by Piedmont pushed the lead to 11-1 with less than five minutes in the opening half.
