GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Piedmont College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Bob Jones University Tuesday on the road. The Bruins took a quick lead in the first set and won 25-12 followed by 25-21, 25-15 wins. 

Bob Jones took an 11-2 lead in the first set creating distance from the start to cruise to a 25-12 win, but the Lady Lions responded in the second. After adversity in the first set, Piedmont got within one trailing 16-15 in the second set, but the Bruins outlasted Piedmont for a 25-21 win. 

In the third set, Piedmont took a 10-9 lead but Bob Jones ultimately won 25-15. TATIANA PAULA and ERICA BALKCUM each recorded six kills with JENNA WENDEL adding five with 18 assists as well. LAINEY CHOINIERE posted 15 digs with ALI WILKINS adding 11. 

Turning Point
--The Bruins took control of the match in the first set setting the tone for the match. 

Standout Performances
--The Bruins' Brooke Beaver posted 19 kills to lead all scorers in the competition. 

News & Notes
--This is the second time these two teams met this season after Piedmont opened the year against the Bruins in tournament play.

--Piedmont returns to action Wednesday evening hosting Brevard at 6 p.m. inside Cave Arena.
