DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont College volleyball team posted another straight sets sweep in conference play at home Wednesday evening with a 3-0 win over Brevard. Piedmont claimed a 25-20, 25-16, 25-22 win to move to 8-8 on the year with a 5-3 mark in USA South play.
It was close in the first set despite Piedmont taking a 23-16 lead at one point. The Tornados stormed back to challenge the Lady Lions but Piedmont prevailed 25-20. The second set was more dominantly in favor of the Lady Lions as they won 25-16.
In the third set, Piedmont put ALI WILKINS at the libero slot moving LAINEY CHOINIERE to a setter role. Brevard jumped out to a 13-7 lead, but Piedmont was able to reel it back in and claim the straight sets sweep with a 25-22 win.
Piedmont recorded 39 kills to the Tornados 15 and held Brevard to a negative attack percentage in the match. Nine different Lady Lions recorded a kill in the contest.
Turning Point
--Piedmont came back from trailing 13-7 in the third set to claim a 25-22 win for the straight sets sweep.
Standout Performances
--Three Lady Lions posted eight kills each as it was a balanced offensive attack with TATIANA PAULA, ERICA BALKCUM and CECE COGLIANO all tallying eight kills.

--The Lady Lions post a perfect 3-0 record inside Cave Arena for the season.
