MONTGOMERY, Ala. - ALINA ROBERTS tallied 27 kills against Huntingdon for a 25 pt. era record but it was not enough as Piedmont lost a pair to Maryville and Huntingdon on the road Saturday. Piedmont lost 3-0 to the Scots and took the Hawks to five sets but Huntingdon claimed the match 3-2.

Against Maryville, it was fairly even with the Scots claiming 25-19, 25-19 and 25-15 wins. Piedmont finished with a negative attack percentage in the match with 27 kills to 28 errors. ERICA BALKCUM led the Lady Lions with seven kills while LAINEY CHOINIERE tallied 22 digs.

In the five set match against the Hawks, Huntingdon claimed the opening set 25-21, but Piedmont won the next two 25-23 and 26-24. The Lady Lions were unable to claim the fourth dropping it 25-22 and the fifth was all Hawks in a 15-2 decision.

JENNA WENDEL had a match-high 46 assists while ALI WILKINS had a career-high 39 digs.

Turning Point
--Piedmont claimed sets two and three against Huntingdon but could not close it out down the stretch including a 15-2 loss in the fifth set.

Standout Performances
--ALINA ROBERTS' 27 kills against Huntingdon were the most recorded by any Lady Lion in the 25 pt era (since 2008).
--Roberts accounted for over half of the Lady Lions' total kills in the match.

News & Notes
--Maryville beat Huntingdon in five sets in the other contest during the tri-match.
