Location: Demorest, Georgia

DEMOREST, Ga. - On a career-best night for a pair of Piedmont players, the Lions coasted to a 72-56 victory thanks to big plays on offense by TAYLOR MILLS and defense by ELIJAH ALSTON. Mills notched 26 points for a career-high while Alston's career-best category came on the defensive end with 17 rebounds.

It was just a two point game at the break as Piedmont led 35-33 after leading by as many as six in the final two minutes before the half. The Lions were off to a slow start down 10-2, but a timeout called by Coach Neeley calmed the nerves and got PC in rhythm as the Lions reeled off 10 unanswered points.

Piedmont used another run scoring seven straight in the opening five minutes of the second half to increase the lead to nine at 45-36. For nearly three minutes, both teams would be held scoreless and as part of that stretch, Piedmont kept the Tornados to only three points over a seven minute stretch en route to securing the lead.

The Lions led by as many as 16 after a 3-pointer by MARQUISE LANIER with 4:57 to play and another pair of Mills' deep balls would help seal it down the stretch. Mills led all scorers with 26 points while Lanier added 14 and JUSTIN VALLEJO also broke double digits with 10 points.

Turning Point
--The Lions held the Tornados to just three points over a seven minute stretch of the second half with all three of those points coming from the charity stripe as Piedmont built a 16 point lead over that stretch.

Standout Performances
--TAYLOR MILLS had a career-high 26 points going 10-of-14 from the floor including six 3-pointers.
--ELIJAH ALSTON also had a career-high with his coming in rebounds as he notched 17, two shy of a program record.

Inside the Box Score
--Piedmont held Brevard to just 23 points in the second half.

News & Notes
--This was the first meeting between the two as Piedmont now holds a 1-0 record against the Tornados.
