LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Piedmont men's soccer team dropped its second USA South Athletic Conference match of the season on Wednesday night, losing 2-0 to Covenant College.
The Lions played the Scots closely in the first half and held a 9-5 shot advantage at halftime.
The Scots answered in the second half and broke the scoreless tie in the 53rd minute to take a 1-0 lead. Over 32 minutes later, Covenant would the ice the game with its second goal to give the Scots the 2-0 win.
Senior
CHASE KANE led all players with four shots, but was only able to place one shot on goal.
VICTOR MUNOZ tallied three shots while
CAMERON EARLS and
TOMMY HILL managed two shots.
Goalkeeper
ELLIOT SAILES allowed two goals while making four saves.
Turning Point
-- Tied 0-0, Covenant's Noah Lee scored to give the Scots a 1-0 lead.
