Demorest, GA - The Piedmont College men's lacrosse team played host to the Leopards of Wentworth Institute of Technology early Thursday evening where the Lions fell 8-4.

A four goal first quarter for WIT set the tone of the game as Piedmont was held scoreless in the opening 15 minutes. The Leopards had four different shooters notch goals to go up 4-0 over the Lions early.

JEREMY KOHN started the scoring for the Lions with nine and half to play in the half as he scored his 20th goal of the season. Not two minutes later, JARED HARRIS scored his first as a member of the Green and Gold but Wentworth would answer with two of their own before the halftime break making it 6-2.

Kohn and JOSH COBBINA each scored one in the third with a Wentworth goal in-between but the third quarter would end before another ball could find the back of the net. 

Neither team added to the tally for eight minutes into the fourth quarter until the Leopards put the final goal of the contest in the cage taking the game 8-4 over PC. 

Turning Point
--The Lions were held scoreless in the opening quarter as the Leopards put up four goals giving them an early separation. 

Standout Performances
--Freshman JEREMY KOHN was the leading scorer for the Lions as he netted two on his own.
--Dolan McCarthy of the Leopards was responsible for three goals in the contest. 

Inside the Box Score
--Neither team was effective in extra man opportunities as there were no man-up goals scored.

News & Notes
--Piedmont has opened all but two seasons at 3-4 after the first seven games.

--Piedmont's home streak ends with its last contest as they play Transylvania on March 14 at 4 p.m. at the Walker Athletic Complex.
