Demorest, GA - With snow flurries falling from the sky, the Piedmont College men's lacrosse team fell to the Pioneers of Transylvania at home 7-2. 

It started off as a slow offensive game for the entire first half as Transylvania scored the only goals going up 3-0 against the Lions at the halftime break. 

To start the third quarter, PC came out with their first goal trying to close the gap with under 13 minutes left in the quarter. The Pioneers answered with a three goal run to extend the lead 6-1 at the end of three.

The final quarter was opened and closed by PC goals however the Pioneers would net one between to end the game 7-3 in favor of Transylvania.

Turning Point
--Piedmont was held scoreless in the first half giving the Pioneers a three goal advantage.

Standout Performances
--CHRIS HADLOW netted two of PC's three goals against the Pioneers.
--Freshman goalie ZACH CZULADA posted 21 saves in the contest. 

Inside the Box Score
--Piedmont was out shot in the game 47-17, however, PC put 13 on cage compared to the 28 of Transy.

News & Notes
--The Lions are now 1-4 against the Pioneers with the only win coming in 2014 when PC scored the game winner in the final 12 seconds of the game.

--The Lions are on the road opening up SEILC play against Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia on Saturday at 2 p.m.
