Rome, GA - In the 2017 Piedmont College outdoor track and field opener, the Lions set a total of 15 school records at the Berry Victor Icebreaker Duals. Included in that was
KYLE RAY winning the men's pole vault with a new facility record in the event.
Ray cleared 4.63m winning the event on his first jump as he set the facility record and a new personal best.
ALVIN JACOBS came in second in the meet in the 800m running a 1:57.40 coming in just one one-hundredth of a second ahead of third place.
Jacobs' 800m time was a school record while he was also part of the men's 4x400m school record running the anchor leg with the fastest time as the 4x400m team took second overall as well.
BRYCE GRIGGS set the 1500m record coming in sixth overall running a 4:10.41 while Analee Bradach was close to a school record in the women's 1500m as she is now second all-time to
REESE BOWLES.
Bradach ran a 5:17.36 in the 1500 while also setting a school record in the 800m with a 2:32.80 coming in fourth overall. Alexis Leonardis and
JULIA GRAHAM both set a pair of school records with Leonardis setting the record in the women's 100m and 200m while Graham broke both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles records.
