Demorest, GA - The Piedmont College women's lacrosse team is now 3-0 in conference after posting a win over Huntingdon 13-9 Wednesday night. 

The Lady Lions scored early and often for the opening ten minutes of the contest going up 4-0 before the Hawks scored their first goal. 

The rest of the first half was similar as PC netted five more to Huntingdon's three before the buzzer would sound for halftime. ROWAN BUMPASS led the offense in the first posting three goals of her own while JENNA SMITH accounted for two in the first half. 

The start of the second half was all Huntingdon in the scoring column as they brought the game to 9-7 with less than 13 to play. FRANCESCA MALABAD and JENNA SMITH responded with goals 10 and 11 for the Lady Lions. These two goals gave PC the momentum to go even with the Hawks for the final seven minutes when both teams added two to the total. Piedmont is now 3-0 against conference opponents after the win over Huntingdon 13-9.

Turning Point
--The Hawks battled to within two goals midway through the second half until FRANCESCA MALABAD and JENNA SMITH scored with just over a minute of separation to swing the momentum back to PC. 

Standout Performances
--Three Lady Lions posted three goal nights in the contest. 
--Jenine Brideau found the loose ball often for PC scooping up four ground balls. 

Inside the Box Score
--The Lady Lions dominated the circle winning 19 draws to the Hawks' six.

News & Notes
--The Lady Lions remain perfect against the Hawks with a 5-0 record.
