CLINTON, S.C. - In the final game of 2017 for the Piedmont College men's basketball team, the Lions lost a 77-60 decision to Presbyterian College. The game against the Blue Hose was a non-counting Division I exhibition, the final of two this season for Piedmont.Â
The Lions held an early lead but a 10-0 run for Presbyterian gave them an advantage they would maintain through the first half. The Blue Hose built as big a lead as 16 after back-to-back 3-pointers by the game's leading scorer Reggie Dillard with 9:45 to play in the first half.Â
TAYLOR MILLS answered with back-to-back 3-pointers of his own, but the Lions would go into halftime trailing 45-33.
In the second half, Piedmont was outscored by just five points, but the comeback was thwarted. A 3-pointer by
MARQUISE LANIER cut it to a three point game 50-47 with 13:22 to go, but the Blue Hose held on for the victory.Â
Turning Point
--It was as close as a three point game with 13:22 to play, but the Blue Hose went on a 13-4 run to distance themselves from the Lions and extended their lead to as many as 18 over the final minutes.Â

ELIJAH ALSTON scored 20 points for the Lions as he is averaging 10.2 points per contest this season.Â
Inside the Box Score
--Reggie Dillard led all scorers with 32 points in the game as he made 6-of-9 3-pointers.Â
