VICTOR MUNOZ scored in the 102nd minute to give the Piedmont men's soccer team a 1-0 double overtime victory over USA South Athletic Conference opponent Averett University on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Lions clinched the No. 2 seed in the USA South West Division and will host a first round game on Saturday.
After an Averett yellow card in the second overtime, the Lions were setup for an excellent scoring opportunity right outside the 18. Munoz delivered the game winning strike from 20 yards out as he was able to put the ball in the upper left of the goal.
