DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont College volleyball team opened a busy week inside Cave Arena with a quick 3-0 win over USA South foe Agnes Scott Tuesday. The Lady Lions are in action twice more this week on Thursday v. Oglethorpe and Saturday v. Berea on senior day.
Piedmont cruised to victory in the first set 25-10 with the Scotties earning just five kills in the set. The Lady Lions continued with a strong 14-4 start in the second set, but the Scotties came back to make it closer pulling within two at 19-17 PC.
The Lady Lions would go on to take the set 25-19 and then kept the Scotties at bay with a 25-15 victory in the third set. Piedmont is now 12-9 on the year and 6-3 in conference play.
Turning Point
--Piedmont set a dominant tone in the opening set with a 25-10 victory and cruised the rest of the way to the straight sets match.
Standout Performances
--The Lady Lions held the Scotties to a negative attack percentage in the first set with just five kills for Agnes Scott in the opening set.
News & Notes
--Twelve different Lady Lions recorded kills in the contest with just three players who entered the contest not recording a kill.

--Piedmont hosts Oglethorpe University on Thursday night at 7 p.m. inside Cave Arena in the final non-conference match of the season.
