DANVILLE, Ky. - Continuing a busy weekend of action, the Piedmont College volleyball team faced Berry College and Centre College Sunday dropping a pair of decisions on the road. The Lady Lions were swept by the Vikings 3-0 and claimed a set against the Colonels losing the match 3-1.

Against Berry, the Lady Lions had their best chance in the third set after dropping the first two 25-18, 25-11. In the third set, Piedmont led 23-20, but the final five points of the match went in favor of the Vikings giving them the victory.

Centre claimed the first two sets in close fashion 25-20, 25-23 with the Lady Lions then taking the third set 25-23 to make it a 2-1 Centre lead. The Colonels took control in the final set to claim the match with a 25-16 win after taking a 12-2 lead to begin the set. 

Turning Point
--The Lady Lions nearly claimed the third set against Berry but the Vikings won the final five points to take the set and the match. 

Standout Performances
--ANNA WRIGHT posted a team-high 12 kills against Centre adding to her team-leading total of 119 kills this season. 

News & Notes
--This tri-match marked the final non-conference tri-match of the season with just two non-conference matches remaining on the schedule. 

Up Next
--The Lady Lions return to action at home this weekend with a tri-match against Maryville and Huntingdon inside Cave Arena.
