Location: Demorest, Georgia - Walker Athletic Complex

Demorest, GA - The Piedmont College women's lacrosse team fell to visiting Berry College earlier Friday afternoon 10-8 in a step out of conference play for the Lady Lions.

The contest was the final step out of league play for Piedmont as a road game at Huntingdon and a home contest with Greensboro is all that remains in the regular season.

The loss for Piedmont was just the second loss at home over the last two seasons as PC was a perfect 7-0 at home in 2015.

Piedmont held a 6-3 lead at the half rallying from a 2-0 deficit with five straight goals in about a nine minute stretch in the first half.  However, the Lady Lions saw their three-goal lead at the break widdled away over the first 15:16 of the 2nd half as Berry tied it at seven with Kelsey McAnnally's score.

The home team responded with a MAGGIE MCDANIEL goal that gave the lead back to Piedmont less than 25 seconds later.  Berry tied it up at eight with 7:43 to go before pulling ahead on their ninth score less than a minute after McDaniel's go-ahead.

An insurance score in the final 2:07 for Berry helped the Vikings salt away the victory as Piedmont dropped a home decision to the visitors by a pair, 10-8.

Turning Point
--The final seven minutes for Berry College as the Vikings pulled ahead with two late scores for the 10-8 victory.

Standout Performances
--Piedmont's LOGAN RUCK, MAGGIE MCDANIEL, and MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS all scored two goals for PC on the day.
--Savannah Robar of Berry led all scorers with three goals in the contest.

Inside the Box Score
--Piedmont held a 6-3 lead at the half, but saw Berry out-score them in the second half 7-2.
--For PC, it was the largest second half deficit in any contest this season.

News & Notes
--The loss against Berry is the first in program history for Piedmont who came in with a 3-0 record against the Vikings all-time.
--Piedmont began women's lacrosse with the 2013 season.
