The Lady Lions used the streak to take a commanding 13-2 lead into the halftime break with the Panthers struggling to find answers for the multi-faceted attack of the Green and Gold.
Piedmont scored the first of those 11 straight just 15 seconds after Ferrum scored their second goal of the contest that tied it at two each. Nine different players scored for Piedmont in the contest led by
MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS' four which led all scorers and equaled the offensive out for Ferrum as a team on the day.
Douglas also collected a pair of assists in the win with
KAYLA JONES leading in that category earning three helpers on the day.
The most dominant performance likely came on the draw for Piedmont where the Lady Lions won 21 of the 22 in the game with
CAHNER MANNS leading the way with 10.
Turning Point--Piedmont's 11-goal streak that ended the 1st half to answer a game-tying goal from Ferrum at the 19:18 mark of the opening period.
Standout Performances--
MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS scored four goals with two assists as she scored on each shot she took on the afternoon.

MATTIE KEATON picked up her first career win in the cage playing the first half allowing two goals with three saves.

CAHNER MANNS posted a season-high 10 to lead PC in that column.
--Piedmont out-shot the Panthers 32-13 in the contest putting 28 shots on goal for the game.
--Ferrum managed only an 11-of-19 mark on the clear with Piedmont providing suffocating defense throughout.
News & Notes--Since falling to Ferrum in the first-ever meeting between the two back in 2013, Piedmont has now won four straight in the series by an average of five goals per game.
--Saturday's result was the largest margin by either team in the series.
--The closest meeting between the two was last year in the USA South Semifinals with Piedmont holding on for an 11-10 win in Rocky Mount.Up NextWith the Millsaps game cancelled earlier in the season, Piedmont will now play its next game against Berry College on Friday, March 25. Opening draw vs. the Vikings is set for 12:00 pm.
