Location: Conway, Arkansas - Warrior Field

Conway, AR - The Piedmont College women's lacrosse team won a thriller on Saturday afternoon to pick up its first victory of 2016 defeating Hendrix 11-10 on a goal in the final minute of regulation.

The two teams were tied at five apiece after the 1st half and though Piedmont held a four goal lead, 10-6, with just under 15 minutes to play, Hendrix would go on a four-goal run over the next nine minutes to tie it up at 10 each.

That Hendrix score that tied it came with just under six minutes to go as Piedmont was held scoreless since the 14:50 mark of the second half.  But the Lady Lions would not go scoreless for the entire 14:50 as veteran MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS found room enough to get off a shot and score the eventual gamewinner with 38 seconds remaining in the game.

After Douglas put the visitors ahead, Hendrix would win the draw to get one final chance to draw level again.  However, the Piedmont defense was up to the task forcing a turnover with 13 seconds left leaving JULIANNA SURGENT to collect the ground ball with the Lady Lions collecting the win on the road.

Turning Point
--With the two teams tied at 10 in the final minute of play, senior MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS took over to hand her team its first win of the season scoring with just 38 seconds left.

Standout Performances
--MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS scored three goals for the second straight game including the gamewinner with just 38 seconds left in the contest.
--JULIANNA SURGENT scooped up a team-high five ground balls and caused three turnovers, also a team-high.
