Need to KnowScore: Piedmont 13, Puget Sound 6Records: Lady Lions 4-2, Loggers 0-2Location: Tacoma, Washington - Peyton Field at Baker StadiumDemorest, GA - In the first of three games out West, the Piedmont College women's lacrosse team earned a 13-6 win over the University of Puget Sound on Monday evening separating themselves from the home team with a 3-goal rush at the beginning of the 2nd half.
MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS led the Lady Lions with her six goals on the evening including the first two of the contest that put the home team up 2-0 just over three minutes in. An
ALEXIS NARDUCCI score just 35 seconds after Douglas' second would make it 3-0 PC, but Puget Sound would cut into the lead with two straight of their own.
However, Piedmont would go on to score six of the next seven in the contest including three straight to start the second half to assume control in the contest defeating the Loggers on their home turf.
The Lady Lions closed with three straight to leave no doubt in the seven-goal win as Piedmont earned its fourth win in the last five games. Getting the decision in goal was
BLAKE FORREST who played the first half splitting time with newcomer
MATTIE KEATON who guarded the cage in the second half.
Turning Point--Up by three at halftime, the Lady Lions built a commanding six goal lead after scoring the first three goals of the second half with
CAHNER MANNS,
CAITLIN O'BRIEN, and
KAYLA JONES all scoring before nine minutes had passed in the period.
Standout Performances--
MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS scored six goals on just six shots against the Loggers while also adding an assist to her totals for the evening.

CAITLIN O'BRIEN each scored a pair of goals for PC in the win.

MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS scored two goals before 3:15 had ticked off the clock to give Piedmont the quick lead.
--Piedmont was 11-of-12 on the clear compared to Puget Sound's 11-of-17 mark.
News & Notes--The Lady Lions have now won four of their last five contests in the 2016 season.
