Newberg, OR - The Piedmont College women's lacrosse team has enjoyed its trip through the Pacific Northwest so far picking up win number two Tuesday night with a 14-10 decision over George Fox, a winner of 11 games last season.

Piedmont scored seven of the first eight goals in the contest to take control early with ALEXIS NARDUCCI putting in one of her best performances of the season so far scoring five times against the Bruins in the win.  

Narducci's goal with 17:35 left in the first put Piedmont up 7-1, but the Bruins mounted a comeback on their home turf scoring the final four goals of the half to make it a two-goal deficit at the break, 8-6.

However, Narducci scored four of her five goals on the evening to help distance her Lady Lions from the home team as her final goal of the evening made it a five-goal lead with just under seven minutes to play.  

Though George Fox would get one back before the final seconds ticked off, Piedmont collected its second win of this three-game swing through the Northwest setting up a chance to go a perfect 3-0 with a win over Pacific on Thursday.

Turning Point
--A three-goal run started by a pair of goals from ALEXIS NARDUCCI separated the two after George Fox had climbed to within two goals with 23:10 left in the second half.

Standout Performances
--ALEXIS NARDUCCI scored a season-high five goals in the win doing so on just six total shots against the Bruins.
--MCKYNSEY DOUGLAS had four goals a day after scoring six and also added an assist to her totals in tonight's win.

Inside the Box Score
--CAHNER MANNS once again topped the charts on the draw with seven on the evening.
--Piedmont converted on six of nine free position attempts while holding George Fox to a 3-of-10 rate.

News & Notes
--This was the season opener for George Fox who went 11-5 in 2015, a program best for the Bruins who started women's lacrosse in 2014.  
--Piedmont began women's lacrosse back in the 2013 season with its first four-year senior class graduating this spring.
