Records: Lions 1-4, Vikings
Location: Rome, Georgia - Valhalla and Richards Field House

Rome, GA - The Piedmont College men's lacrosse team fell earlier Wednesday evening to the Vikings of Berry College 12-3 in a game that saw a tight score-line at half before the home team pulled away in Rome.

Piedmont trailed just 2-1 after the first quarter with the Lions' DEVON PHILLIPS scoring off a RILEY COCKS assist to tie it at 1-1 before the Vikings scored an unassisted effort with exactly one minute remaining to reclaim the lead.  PC matched the Vikings again in the beginning of the second quarter with TAYLOR CARTER making good on a man-up opportunity to make it two all.

After the pair matched up goals again with BRITT KENNEDY scoring this time around for PC in the 3-3 game with 10:19 left in the second, Berry would score three straight to take a 6-3 advantage into the break.

Following halftime, it was all Berry as the Vikings outscored PC 6-0 in the final two periods en route to the nine-goal win at home.

Turning Point
--Berry's defensive effort in the second half that shutout the visiting Lions accounted for the pull-away by the Vikings in the 12-3 win.

Standout Performances
--Three Lions scored a goal each in TAYLOR CARTER, BRITT KENNEDY, and DEVON PHILLIPS with Phillips leading the team with his four shots.
--Koda-Wataka Robinson earned a hat-trick for the home team as he needed just four shots to score the three.

Inside the Box Score
--Piedmont was out-shot 55-13 in the contest between the pair of in-state foes.
--Berry was 11-of-11 on clears while PC was 11-of-14.
