Demorest, GA - On a damp, dreary day in Demorest, the Lions shone bright tying a season-high in goals picking up a 7-1 victory over USA South opponent LaGrange. A pair of Lions both accounted for two goals each as CHASE KANE and DIEGO GODINEZ scored twice in the contest.

NATHAN METZGER headed in the first goal of the day after a corner by JOSE LINARES giving him the assist putting the Lions up 1-0 in the 17th minute. Godinez netted the game-winner in the 31st minute for his fourth goal of the season, and added his fifth before the end of the first half making it 4-0 in the 44th minute. VICTOR MUNOZ accounted for the third goal of the day in the 40th minute as Linares had his second assist of the day.

It was quiet in the first minutes of the second half but then the scoring came in bunches. Piedmont's TOMMY HILL scored off a ball by CHRIS KELLER in the 72nd minute but the Panthers answered less than a minute later as LaGrange's leading scorer Errick Sturm scored the Panthers' lone goal.

CHASE KANE then scored twice within a minute himself scoring his sixth and seventh goals of the season. Piedmont has scored six goals or more three times this season with the season-high of seven goals coming against both Toccoa Falls and LaGrange College.
