Maryville, TN - The Piedmont College men's soccer team was held out of the net Tuesday night in a 6-0 defeat by Maryville College. The Scots sit atop the USA South standings and improved to 5-1 in conference play in large part thanks to Caleb Lucas' four goals.
Lucas leads the league in scoring with 14 goals this season as he accounted for goals in the 24th, 26th, 48th and 63rd minutes of the contest. The remaining goals were scored by Tim Baker who also had three assists in the contest.
MITCH BARRY started the contest and played in the goal in the first half while
ELLIOT SAILES was at goalkeeper in the second half as both allowed three goals but saved a total of six shots each.
LUKE MARTIN and
IAN ADDISON both had a pair of shots in the contest with Addison getting the only look on goal.
Turning Point
--Caleb Lucas sealed the victory for the Scots with a goal in the 24th minute as he scored his first of four goals in the contest.

--Caleb Lucas had a total of four goals in the contest as he leads the USA South in goals with 14 so far this season.
