The Lady Lions took the second set and looked impressive to start the third set but the Scots walked away victorious as Maryville Head Coach Kandis Schram won her 700th career game.
The Scots took the first set 25-22 in what was a tight contest thoughout before Piedmont evened the match 1-1 earning the second set 25-23. The Scots went on to win the final two sets by a score of 25-22 and 25-12.
Senior TAYLOR CRAMSEY had a record setting performance with 19 kills to mark a record number of kills in a four-set match. Cramsey was getting it done across the board as she also tallied four blocks while KATELYN DURMIRE added four blocks as well.MALLORY LEARY, the second of Piedmont's pair of seniors honored prior to the match, had an impressive day as well tallying six kills and three digs.
EMILY PETERS served as the setter earning 35 assists in the contest along with 10 digs while libero
HALEY HIXON led the team with 15 digs.
Turning Point-The Lady Lions took the second set to even the match and jumped out to an early 7-2 lead in the third set, but the Scots charged back and took the third set to take control of the match.
Standout Performances-
TAYLOR CRAMSEY had a stellar outing for senior recognition as she set the 4-set kills record with 19 kills though that was not her best in 2015 as she posted a season-high 22 kills against William Peace earlier this year.

KATELYN DURMIRE and Cramsey both posted an impressive four blocks in the game as Piedmont had a total of eight.
Inside the Box Score-The loss snapped a four game win streak for the Lady Lions who move to 4-2 in league play.
-The Scots have now won 48 straight USA South regular season contests.
News & Notes-This marked a historic victory for Scots Head Coach Kandis Schram as she won her 700th career match as she is the third most winningest coach by victories in Division III.Up NextThe Lady Lions continue action at home on Tuesday with a mid-week match against LaGrange College slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
