Atlanta, GA - The Piedmont Men's Tennis team was defeated 8-1 at Oglethorpe University yesterday. The Lions took a close No. 1 doubles victory but couldn't find success in any others.

Koen Gottenbos and Nick Hallberg started off the day's matches with a nailbiter. The duo fought hard at No. 1 doubles and came out victorious 9-8 after the tiebreaker. After the win, the Lions were unsuccessful in the rest of their matches and came out with the 8-1 loss in the final match of the regular season.

The Lions move to 11-5 overall. They will travel to the USA South Men's Tennis Tournament this weekend in Rocky Mount, North Carolina as the #4 seed. Their first match is Friday at 9 a.m. versus #5-seeded Greensboro College.
