Box Score DEMOREST, Georgia -- The Piedmont men's lacrosse team fell to St. John Fisher College by a count of 22-3 Tuesday afternoon in Demorest. With the loss the Lions fall below .500 for the first time this season (3-4).
The Cardinals took control in the contest early by going on a 5-0 run, punctuated by a Michael Boisvert goal with 10:05 remaining in the first period. The Lions would get on the board in the first frame by virtue of a
Spencer Ortis score that was assisted by
Sumner Gantz at the 8:40 mark. The Cardinals would continue to pace the flow of the game in the first half, scoring twelve additional first half goals to the Lions one additional score. St. John Fisher would take a 17-2 lead into the break.
The Cardinals shutdown the Lions offense in the second half, allowing just one second half goal by
Paul Belle Isle in the fourth period. The Lions would however manage to slow the Cardinals scoring attack in the second half, allowing five second half goals.
The Cardinals were led by Michael Boisvert, who netted a game-high seven goals on seven attempts.

Paul Belle Isle.
The Lions (3-4) will be back in action this Saturday in Demorest as they play host to Beloit College at noon.
