Box Score LAGRANGE, Georgia - The Piedmont College baseball team evened the three-game USA South series with host LaGrange College this afternoon by the score of 4-3. The Lions pounded out 11 hits while committing only one error en route to the one-run decision.

After the Panthers posted a pair of runs in the second inning the Lions answered in the third as Josh Bailey drilled an RBI-double plating Tate Koons. In the fourth Piedmont took the lead as Will Skidmore posted a two-run single with two outs and the bases loaded.

The Panthers would tie the score 3-3 with a single run in the sixth. In the top of the seventh the Lions would find the eventual game-winner as Evan Gresham notched a sacrifice-fly scoring Breck Davidson who led the inning off with a triple.

Chris Goershel earned the win on the mound going six full innings allowing a pair of earned runs and four strikeouts. Jacob Brewster posted the save going one and two-thirds innings of relief striking out three.

The Lions, now 15-13 overall and 12-8 in the USA South, will wrap-up the series tomorrow, March 30 as they take on the Panthers starting at 12:00.
