ROME, Georgia - The Piedmont College men's tennis team traveled to non-conference host Berry College this afternoon and edged the Vikings by the score of 5-4. After dropping two of three doubles points the Lions rallied four of the six singles points to take the one-point decision.
The tandem of
Koen Gottenbos and
Nick Hallberg took the point at #1 doubles 8-3 to start the match. After Berry claimed the next two points the Lions rallied in singles play as Gottenbos,
Joel Silverberg,
Trey Martin and
Chris Davidson claimed straight-set victories to seal the win.
Piedmont, now 8-3 overall, will return to USA South Conference action on Friday, March 29 as they travel to Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC for a 3:30 first-serve.
