Box Score Greensboro, NC -- The Lions couldn't shake a strong Pride offensive effort, giving up two goals in the first and one in the second on the road. Piedmont was outshot 12-0 in each half in a game that was reminiscent of last year's loss of the same score at home.

All of the Lions top scorers were unable to get past the Greensboro defense in the first half. The Lions earned a few opportunities early attempting an equalizer, but nothing shook the posts behind the Pride defense.
Greensboro, who found themselves with seven corners in the first half, took advantage of another in the 31st minute. Lions keeper

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Greensboro earned a free kick in a dangerous position left of the eighteen yard box. The Pride forward striked a curving ball in that didn't look worthy, but it ricocheted off two players giving it too much distance for Hearn to make the tough save.
