Box Score DEMOREST, Georgia -- Visiting Millsaps College used the only second half goal of the game to edge the host Lions 2-1 this afternoon in non-conference action at PC's Walker Field.  Chuck Hayden scored a goal on a penalty kick in the game's 75th minute to secure the second win of the season for the Majors.

The two teams traded first half goals with Millsaps striking first on a Chaz Ainsworth goal in the game's 25th minute with the assist credited to Lukas Elmhammer.  Piedmont would equalized with eight minutes left before intermission on a JUSTIN WHITAKER penalty kick goal. 

Millsaps held a 15-8 advantage in shots and took six of the game's seven corner kicks. 

Piedmont's KENNETH HEARN tallied five saves on seven shots on goal while his counterpart Stephen Andrieu tallied six saves in seven chances.

The loss drops Piedmont to 4-3-1 overall on the season with the Lions set to return to the pitch with weekend USA South matchups against Greensboro College (Saturday, September 29) and Averett University (September 30) at Walker Field.
