Piedmont Downs Arch-Rivals, Picks Up Fifth Straight Win

Patrick Steck and Moses Das enjoyed a big 8-1 win over visiting Maryville College Monday afternoon. The duo teamed up for a win at #1 doubles as the Lions move to 5-0 in GSAC play and 8-4 overall. The men have won five straight matches.

Demorest, GA - The Lions hauled in their fifth straight win of the season and remained perfect in Great South Athletic Conference play with a huge 8-1 win at home over arch-rivals Maryville College.  Sophomore Jay Evans clinched the win with his singles defeat.

The men picked up a big win at #1 doubles when senior Moses Das and sophomore Patrick Steck teamed up for a win on senior day.  Piedmont moves to 8-4 on the year and 5-0 in GSAC action.  Evans is now 8-3 in singles matches.  The Lions return to action Wednesday at 3:30 pm when traveling to Covenant College.
