Lions Dominate Panthers To Remain Perfect In GSAC

Moses Das earned his third singles win of the season at LaGrange Sunday afternoon. The reigning GSAC Player of the Year also won his first doubles match with sophomore teammate Patrick Steck. The Lions are now 3-3 overall and 2-0 in GSAC play.

LaGrange, GA - The Piedmont Lions moved to 2-0 in Great South Athletic Conference action after a 9-0 blowout over LaGrange, less than 24 hours after traveling to Huntingdon College for a 6-3 win.  Senior Moses Das dominated for the visitors in the third win of the season over LaGrange.

The reigning GSAC player of the year won his doubles match with sophomore Patrick Steck 8-2, and clinched the match 6-2, 6-2 in #1 singles.  The singles win moves Das to 3-3 overall on the season, just as the Lions' overall mark is.  The doubles win marks his first with Steck in 2012.  The Lions have 10 days off before returning to play on March 14 at Reinhardt University at 2:30 pm.
