Lions Earn Season Sweep Over Huntingdon, Even Record In Process

Joel Silverberg aided the Lions in their fourth win of the season, winning at #2 singles in straight sets before teaming up with Jay Evans at #3 doubles for another point as Piedmont won 6-3 over visiting Huntingdon College Sunday afternoon. The win gave the men a 3-0 mark in GSAC play.

Demorest, GA - The men's tennis team doubled up over Huntingdon in Great South Athletic Conference competition, winning 6-3 to remain a perfect 3-0 in conference play.  The Lions earned their second win of the year over the Hawks by the same score, but this time doing so at home Sunday afternoon.

Senior Moses Das and sophomores Joel Silverberg, Christopher Davidson and Jay Evans all won singles matches for the men, while the combos of Davidson and freshman Nick Hallberg and Evans and Silverberg pulled off doubles points as well.  The Lions are now 4-4 overall and 3-0 in GSAC play, and return to action Tuesday at home against Virginia Wesleyan College, with the match slated to begin at 3:00 pm.
