Men Suffer Narrow Loss To Millsaps

The Lions fell 5-4 at Millsaps College in tough loss. Nick Hallberg and Christopher Davidson accounted for three of the men's points, while Jay Evans added a win at #6 singles.

Memphis, TN - The Lions' tennis squad fought hard but came up just short of a win against Millsaps College, 5-4. Freshman Nick Hallberg and sophomore Christopher Davidson came up big for Piedmont in the losing effort.

Hallberg took his #4 singles set over Millsaps, while Davidson followed at flight five with a huge singles win over his counterpart. The two then teamed up for a #2 doubles win for another point for the Lions. Sophomore Jay Evans added a point for Piedmont with at #6 singles as well. The Lions return to the court March 3 when they travel to Huntingdon to start Great South Athletic Conference play.
