Montgomery, AL --
The Piedmont College women's basketball team cruised to another Great South Athletic Conference victory defeating league member Huntingdon College 81-54 earlier this afternoon. The visiting Lady Lions raced out to a big first half lead before settling in to shoot over 40% while holding the host Lady Hawks to just 28% shooting on the way to the 27 point decision.

Leading the way in the scoring column was guard Amber Satterfield who posted 18 points while grabbing a rebound and an assist. The junior shot over 30% from three-point land while also going a reliable seven for eight at the free throw line.

Posting yet another double-double was Satterfield's classmate Sada Wheeler who scored 12 points and pulled down ten boards on the day. Also dishing out a pair of helpers, Wheeler was six of nine from the field to connect on over 66% of her field goal tries.

A trio of Lady Lions contributed eight points a piece in senior Laura Simmons, junior Shanice Wheeler, and freshman Sydney Seitz. The newcomer Seitz posted a solid shooting performance off the bench hitting four of her six tries from the field in the 27-point win.

The victory improves the Lady Lions to 13-5 overall and 7-1 in conference play. Piedmont will return to the court on Tuesday, February 1 when the squad hosts Agnes Scott College in GSAC action. Tip-off is set for 6:00 in the Cave.
