Fayetteville, NC --
The Piedmont College women's soccer team fell in non-conference action to Methodist University this afternoon by a 2-0 final to wrap up a two-game weekend road trip.  Methodist took advantage of an early lead to stave off the Lady Lions who finish 1-1 in their journey to North Carolina.

It was the home Monarchs who grabbed a goal in the 20th minute to jump to an early 1-0 advantage over the visiting squad.  Despite added pressure from the Piedmont attack in the second half, Methodist would add a score in the 60th minute to seal their sixth win of the season.

Junior midfielder Justine Clay and senior forward Katie Porter each had two shots for the Lady Lions in the contest while sophomore midfielder Dilyn MacLean added a pair of her own.  In goal, senior Kaitlyn Induni added eight saves in the loss.

Piedmont now moves to 4-3 on the season and will return to action on Thursday, September 23 when the team travels to Columbia, SC for a 6:00 evening match with Columbia College.
