Fayetteville, NC -- The Piedmont College women's soccer team fell in non-conference action to Methodist University this afternoon by a 2-0 final to wrap up a two-game weekend road trip. Methodist took advantage of an early lead to stave off the Lady Lions who finish 1-1 in their journey to North Carolina.
It was the home Monarchs who grabbed a goal in the 20th minute to jump to an early 1-0 advantage over the visiting squad. Despite added pressure from the Piedmont attack in the second half, Methodist would add a score in the 60th minute to seal their sixth win of the season.

Piedmont now moves to 4-3 on the season and will return to action on Thursday, September 23 when the team travels to Columbia, SC for a 6:00 evening match with Columbia College.
