Cleveland, GA --
The Piedmont College women's soccer team fell in tough fashion this afternoon dropping a 1-0 decision to in-state foe Truett-McConnell College.  The Lady Lions allowed an early goal and never could recover to equalize the match as they collected their second loss of the year.

In the first half, Truett-McConnell was awarded a penalty kick only six minutes into the match and converted despite PC goalkeeper Kaitlyn Induni getting a hand to the shot.  After claiming the 1-0 advantage, the Bears needed no more scores to knock off the Lady Lions who outshot TMC nine to six in the match.

Sophomore midfielder Dilyn MacLean paced the squad with three shots on target while freshman Laura Goodwin also added a pair of shots.  In goal, Induni had five total saves for the match while allowing the lone goal on a penalty shot.

With the loss, the squad falls to 3-2 on the season.  Piedmont will look to improve upon their three wins as they visit NC Wesleyan College on Saturday, September 18 for a 2:00 match.
