Gainesville, GA -- The Piedmont College women's soccer team had little trouble putting away Peace College this afternoon defeating the Pacers 15-0 at Allen Creek Soccer Complex. Fifteen different Lady Lions helped Piedmont to their second win in three days and their third victory of the 2010 season.
PC kicked off the scoring early in the match as
Katie Porter found the back of the net less than 15 seconds into the match. For Porter, the goal was a memorable one as it marked the 81st score of her career and put her alone atop the the all-time scoring list for PC women's soccer.
Seven minutes into the first half,
Dilyn MacLean would score Piedmont's second goal off a midfield pass from Kriten Murri while sophomore forward
Macie Rooke notched her first goal of the season off a cross from MacLean a minute later. Porter found the net for the second time in the afternoon off a through ball from Rooke in the 10th minute before
Justine Clay headed home a Porter corner kick.
Cydney Goodwin added to the list of scorers in the 32nd minute off a pass from
Haley Grimes before the freshman midfielder got a goal of her own just three minutes later. Sophomore forward
Brooke Terilli then netted her first career goal in the 36th minute off a
Cydney Goodwin assist before Goodwin scored her second goal of the day in the 37th minute.

HAYLEAH WATERS also picked up her first goal as a Lady Lion off a another assist from
Kristen Murri while Porter grabbed her third goal of the day in the 52nd minute.The rest of the scoring came on a career day for
Brooke Terilli who provided the next three assists for the Lady Lions.
Terilli's four total assists in the game finished tied for second in a game in the history of Piedmont's women's soccer program. Rounding out the scoring was sophomore defender
Katherine Metz and freshman forward
Meghan Heim who each grabbed their first career goals in the green and gold. Getting the shutout in goal was freshman
Marjorie Hammond who saved a first-half penalty to preserve the clean sheet.
Now 3-1 on the season, the Lady Lions will look to improve their record with a win at Truett-McConnell College on Tuesday, September 14. The match is set to kick off at 2:30.
