Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College Department of Athletics has announced a change of venue for men's and women's soccer as both teams are set to begin regular season play on Thursday, September 2. Due to the ongoing construction surrounding Walker Athletic Complex, all men's and women's soccer games scheduled through September 12 will be played at Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville, GA.

Walker Athletic Complex is still putting the finishing touches on one of the most outstanding changes to an athletic complex at Piedmont since the construction of Loudermilk Field in 2005. As a result, all competition slated to occur on Walker Field through September 12 has been shifted to Allen Creek Soccer Complex as announced by Director of Athletics John Dzik.

“The folks at the Allen Creek Soccer Complex were very gracious in allowing us to use their facility to start our season on time,” stated Dzik. “We are appreciative of their generosity and feel we have an excellent venue to play contests as we await the completion of the Walker field renovation.”

Both soccer teams plan to open regular season play with a doubleheader against Tennessee Temple University on Thursday, September 2. The women's team will kickoff first at 4:00 with the men's match set to follow shortly afterward at 6:00.
