Lions Eliminated From GSAC Tournament With 5-0 Loss To Maryville

Sophomre Jon Reinert and the Lions fought hard but could not come away with a point against top seeded Maryville College in opening action of the GSAC tournament this afternoon at Burgen Tennis Courts.

Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College men's tennis team fell in a semi-final match up of the Great South Athletic Conference tournament to top seed Maryville College this afternoon at Burgen Tennis Courts. Maryville claimed all three doubles points before ending the Lions' season with two singles victories to claim the 5-0 decision.

With the loss, the Lions are eliminated from GSAC tournament play and finish the 2010 season with a 2-15 overall record coupled with a 1-6 mark in conference play.
