Maryville, TN -- The Piedmont College men's tennis team was shutout for the the third consecutive match falling to Great South Athletic Conference member Maryville College this afternoon. The Lions could not get started against the Scots dropping each singles match in straight sets.
PC fought tough against the Scots but could not put a blemish on Maryville's perfect conference record.
The loss puts Piedmont at 2-14 on the season and 1-5 in GSAC play. The Lions will get ready to host the GSAC tournament with play set to begin on Saturday, May 1 as the #4 seed.
