PC Cross Country Continues Season With Strong Finish At Furman Invitational

PC runner Wesley Milton's 8K time of 29:35 helped the Lions to a 6th place finish out of 11 teams earlier today at the 38th Annual Furman Unviersity Invitational.
Greenville, SC -- The Piedmont College cross country teams continued their season showing by running in the 38th Annual Furman Univeristy Invitational earlier this morning.  The men's team posted their best team finish of the season earning 6th place out of 11 teams while the women's squad posted a 12th place finish.

Freshman AJ Meyer led the men's squad with an 8K time of 28:57 for an average mile time of 5:50 while teammate Wesley Milton came in at 29:35.  The Lady Lions were paced by youngster Molly Atkinson for the second time this season posting a 5K time of 23:38. 

The squads will return to action this coming Saturday, October 16 traveling to USC-Upstate for the second time in 2010 for their Invitational event.
