Box Score

LaGrange, GA --
The Piedmont College women's soccer team earned its third Great South Athletic Conference victory tonight over host LaGrange College by the score of 3-1. The Lady Lions never trailed and held the Panthers to one shot on goal for the duration of the match.

At the 18th minute Katie Porter, last week's GSAC Player of the Week, found the back of the net off a pass from Caitlin Delvasto. Just three minutes before intermission sophomore Justine Clay connected on the eventual game-winner off a pass from teammate Macie Rooke.

Clay picked up an assist 21 minutes into the second frame as Porter increased the margin with her second goal of the match. The Panthers would answer with a single goal at the 87th minute but could get no closer.

Eight different Lady Lions posted shots on goal while the squad earned the only three corner kicks of the match.

PC, now 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the Great South, will play host to Wesleyan College on Thursday, October 1st at Walker Field starting at 6:00.
