Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College men's soccer team fell to visiting Christopher Newport University this afternoon at Walker Field by the score of 2-1. The Lions scored first but saw the Captains, currently ranked #4 in the latest NCAA Division-III national poll, answer with a pair of goals within a minute en route to the win.

Jorge Pradilla connected on the first goal of the match at the 16th minute. Pradilla took a
Jeremy Stille pass and beat the keeper to give PC the 1-0 advantage. The Captains responded with two goals at the 27th and 28th minutes respectively to take the final lead of the match.
The teams played to a scoreless draw in the second frame as CNU held the advantage 3-0 in shots on goal. For the match the visitors posted 10 shots on goal compared to the Lions two.
Piedmont, now 3-3-1 overall, will return to action Tuesday, September 29th as they travel to LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA for a Great South Athletic Conference match starting at 7:30.
